Mental Health issues in the Workplace is becoming more recognised with about 1 in 6 people experiencing Mental Health issues in the workplace. This can lead to stress, underachievement and absences. Until now, this has, to some extent, been suppressed to avoid stigma labelling and fear of the loss of a job.

These Mental Health First Aid courses help employers and fellow staff recognise the symptoms, to start a supportive conversation and to signpost further help.

Mental Health in the Workplace Level 1 (3 hours)

Anyone can be affected by a mental health condition either themselves or a family member, friend or colleague.

This awareness course is suitable for everyone as it provides learners with the knowledge to recognise a suspected mental health condition and the skills to start a conversation and be able to signpost a person towards professional help. For more information, click here:

Mental Health in the Workplace Level 2 (6 hours)

This course is suitable for everyone but has been designed to help employers to provide a positive mental health culture within the workplace and to provide learners with comprehensive knowledge on a range of the most common mental health conditions and the skills to be able to act should a condition be suspected.

This 6 hour course provides an insight into Mental Health issues in the Workplace and students will learn how to understand the issues and recognise when somebody needs support within their workplace. It also gives signposting advice. It builds on the 4-hour course by adding the understanding of substance abuse and teaching how to establish a positive Mental health culture in the Workplace.
