Who is the 2 day Paediatric First Aid for?
The course is aimed at anybody who comes into contact with children including pre-school staff, nursery staff, play workers, children centre staff, teachers, Learning Support Assistants, holiday camp workers, parent and toddler group volunteers, child minders, nannies, foster carers, au pairs, parent helpers, babysitters, community workers, youth workers, parents, grandparents, aunts and uncles.
The current EYFS statutory framework requires at least one person who has a current Paediatric First Aid certificate to be on the premises or outings at all times when children are present.
This qualification meets requirements for those working in early years settings. We use the criteria for effective paediatric first aid training found in Appendix 1 of The Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Practice Guidance document for course development and structure.
This qualification is part of the Regulated Qualification Framework (RQF) regulated by Ofqual (the official regulator of qualifications in England, Wales and Northern Ireland).
All our first aid courses fully meet the UK and European Resuscitation Council Guidelines 2015 as per the HSE requirements.
